"English Botany" by James Sowerby
Botanical Canvas Wall Art on Pinewood frame.
English Botany was an encyclopedia of English plants from naturalist Sir James Edward Smith and illustrator James Sowerby. It was published in 36 volumes over 23 years from 1790 to 1814 and contained 2,592 of Sowerby’s hand-colored, detailed copper etchings. We’ve selected a variety of illustrations from this work then outlined/digitally enhanced them, and are offering them as botanical canvas prints.
Prints are available in 3 sizes (6″ x 6″, 10″ x 10″ & 14″ x 14″) on a cotton/poly canvas. The 1.25” deep frame is made with profile radial pine that is ethically sourced from renewable forests.
